Bonus Code IGGY On Party Poker, damnit!

TGIF.

One of the first things I blogged about four years ago, when I started this humble poker blog, was the radio show, This American Life, segment entitled "Meet The Pros". The second part of this fine show featured - what else - poker.

I listen to a podcast every evening during my commute home, so I was pretty damn happy to re-listen to this show as it was rebroadcast last week. The show features Phil Gordon, Paul Phillips, Linda Thompson and Mike Lang. I highly recommend it.

Act Two. Know When to Walk Away, Know When to Run.

Ira travels to Las Vegas for the World Series of Poker, gets hooked, and tries to figure out what it would mean if he ditched his job in radio to become a professional card player. What he learns: a professional gambler can suffer two heartbreaking losses back-to-back, costing him over $100,000, and moments later, at the casino bar, calculate the million-to-one odds of his unlikely losses...in his head. (26 minutes)

Bonus Code IGGY On Party Poker, damnit!

Crazy times indeed. I have a stellar story to tell about the behind-the-scenes happenings with MMAjunkie.com, but I'm being forced to wait until the legal issues get sorted out before I can go public.

The story involves fucktards. That I can say.

It's some seriously crazy stuff. And hey, I was even threatened. You tell me what it means when someone from the Jersey shore, involved in construction says, "Hey Iggy, you're probably going to get served legal papers here in a few days, as well as probably getting a visit from some other people we know."

In other exciting news, billionaire blogger, Mark Cuban, came by MMAjunkie last week to comment on our story about his foray into the world of MMA.

How do we really know it was him?

He owns his own network block of IP's, that's how.

He's one super nerd.

Interesting story out in the new Newsweek about online gambling. Go read. I'll be full on poker shortly.

The Caribbean Hold 'Em
An unlikely trade dispute between the U.S. and Antigua over online gaming has turned into a David-and-Goliath battle, proving small nations can wield large digital sticks.
